One cannot say that neutral will always be the best setting, since virtually
no two Panteras run the same combination of brakes and tires. An adjustable
valve costs less than $100 and is a cheap way to find the optimum setting for
your own car. The stock valve was set for stock brakes and stock belted-bias
tire sizes of 185-70 x 15 front & 205-70 x15 rear tires. It was also plumbed
to limit the front brakes, backwards to 99% of other cars on the road.
If that can't be done than does anyone know where to get the flaring tool to
do the special flares that are on the end of the brake lines? >>
Why bother? An aftermarket valve uses SAE inverted-cone flares; cut the Euro
bubble-flare off & re-do it to SAE. You'll likely need different length lines
anyway. Cheers- J DeRyke
