Since you're already into this li'l problem, why not use somewhat longer
pieces of hose at the rad connections and do some tests with the rad
connected both ways. If it makes any difference, we can all 'adjust' our
theories as to why it's better one way than another. Be sure you give it a
couple of days of driving each way to allow all the air to bleed out, since
filling from the top will have air going counter to the water flow and it
might be more difficult to avoid air pockets during bleeding.
