JUst thought of an advantage to not using the tub: in the event of a flat tire, NO STOCK OR AFTERMARKET WHEEL/TIRE WILL FIT IN THE TUB (or in the front trunk, either). At LeMans, the '72 Group 4s were required to carry a spare; they carried a 10x15" race wheel & tire bungeed to the transaxle, and the decklid closed. Cheers- J deRyke
