| Subject: | Is rear trunk liner needed?? |
| Date: | Tue, 20 Jul 1999 14:33:14 -0400 |
Hi All,
Although user friendly (nice work Andy), I've only used the archives a few
times and have had good luck. I know we discussed this before - but couldn't
seem to find it there.
Question is: Does anyone know of any problems that could be caused by driving
around without the rear trunk liner installed?
Since I've only had the car a few weeks and I'm sure it will continue for the
rest of the summer, people ask to see the spare engine in the back and I do
like to show it off so I left liner out. I realize dirt might get kicked into
the area, and going over 100 (which I don't plan to do) might cause some
uplift inside the rear. Could leaving it out increase the chances of the deck
popping open from air lift even at 65?? I suppose anything could happen if
the body flexes the wrong way at the wrong time - but I wonder just how much
the liner would change any of that.
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks scruff (aka fran - lovin' 03766 with new
permacap)
