Another tip that will help when you put things back together
is to make a bunch of labels for the bolts.  Stick the labels 
and bolts in ziploc bags and set them aside as you pull each
component off.  Mattress comforters or heavy blankets make
excellent fender covers.  I also like to work in drawstring 
athletic shorts and a t-shirt.  No buckles, rivets, snaps, or
buttons to scratch things.  

Make sure you note the number of shims on each side of
the transaxle mounting ears and the orientation of the motor
mounts.  If you can borrow a digital camera, take lots of pictures 
as you go so brain fade doesn't bite you.
