Whine??? Heck NO. Welcome to ownership. Having just purchased mine just shy of
two months ago, I can tell you, this is like buying a house. Something you're
awfully proud of, but will need tender attention for as long as you own it.
Shelley and I took another long trip ASASCAT last weekend. This time, we went
to Tacoma WA for a Promise Keepers conference. We stayed with friends and I was
so busy I didn't get an opportunity to visit with any other Pantera people, I
apologize, maybe next time. Anyway...
Car ran great all the way there and back, even in the sweltering heat. Because
of some little things that keep popping up, and the general need for care,
Shelley and I started a list of things to do, fix, replace, repair, etc. on the
car. Our list is quite long, but there isn't a single thing over $1000. Right
now, I think the highest dollar item will be the complete cooling system kit, to
include new tubes, from one of our vendors. Maybe even a new radiator and
fans. Though it doesn't appear to overheat often, it HAS twice. Since the car
is 26 years old, and I don't find much evidence of hose replacement, I think we
all know where I should start.
The the list moves on to things like window motor gears, a headlight switch,
turn signal switch, headliner fix-up, mirrors, things like that. I'm loving it.
Anytime I want to whine about something... I just grab a little cheese, sit back
and admire my good fortune, which includes good folks on this list that help out
at every turn.
You guys are great. : )
PCNC needs to do a tech session, the weekend just before Vegas (which I think
they do normally). Then we might just attend in our own car, since we need to
be in Vegas early anyway. Long distance award, here we come. : )
