I am a new member of this forum, the EPA, and POCA, and a new pantera
owner. I am proud to "belong" to this group. Please take what I am about
to say as constructive and my attempt to contribute, not an attempt to flame
anyone or our Newsletter. The August Newsletter, in describing the upcoming
Pocono '99 Italian Track Event, has incorrect Italian that is supposed to
translate into "The Last Race of the Century." The correct translation
should be, "L'Ultima Corsa Del Centenario."
"La Finita" actually means "finished"(not "the final"), and "Centinaio"
means 100, not one hundred years(century). Several "friends" who own other
Italian makes were looking at my newsletter and started making the usual
wisecracks after seeing the heading, which appeared on three
pages(pp.21-23).
If it could be corrected before the next issue, it would be great. If I
could ever offer my help in the future with Italian translations for our
Newsletter or any other material involving the image of our marque, I would
feel honored to do so. Sorry for all this hot air. As a new owner, I'm
still a little sensitive to anyone berating our beautiful cars and marque.
Thanks
Mark
