Not true - although maybe the later ones with the smaller valves. I was
amazed at the power difference when I converted my first P-car to quence
heads. And it worked with pump gas.

With heads off, check cylinder wall taper for wear along with rod and main
bearings. Also dgree your cam to determine its specs and if it is
appropriate for your driving intentions.
