DeTomaso Mailing List: August 99, Message #95

JUst curious if anyone might know the current status or whereabouts of my 
1972 White/Black Pre-L S/N: 04160. I had sold the car to a TOny Sakara in 
South Bend Indiana in late 1978.  He said he later traded the car to a Tom 
Mittler in the same city.  Mr Mittler was rumored to have sold the car on 
the gulf coast of Florida.  I have lost track of the car after that and the 
last transfer I cannot verify.  There is a White Pre-L on the internet that 
is very tempting right now.  It has stirred the old feelings again.

One of the biggest mistakes I have ever made was selling the car in late 
1978.  Even though I now have a BMW M3 and a Porsche 911 I still miss 
driving the Pantera.  There is just nothing like it before or since.  Kinda 
reminds me of the SR71 on wheels....  Excellent when it was new and still 
hard to beat.

So....  Anyone out there able to fill in the blanks for me?
