Subject:HOW BOUT' A SVO 460? (WAS:Re: Engine questions)
Date: Sat, 4 Sep 1999 14:07:00 -0400

I'd like some input, comments and advise on my own re-build. . .I'm
re-building my car I am following the thread on engines and suspension with
some interest. My original Rolls Royce Plan and Beer-Budget was just to
re-build my mild stroker Cleveland with more cam, compression and
carburation. . .The goal was to achieve 600HP between 5000-6000 grand with a
3.5 ring gear (2.6 final) and a .655 5th gear. . . I've now heard from
several folks who opinions I respect that my BEER budget high compression
STROKER won't get me there. . .but a CRATE SVO 460 WILL do the job for the
same money to rebuild my old stroker.

Okay-already, I got da flame suit BACK-on...fire away. I need your input and
expert and not so expert advise!
