Hello All,
This is in response to Dantomaso's comment about reversing
the radiator flow, which is good info, and not doing the
head bleed mod.
The head bleed mod is more for operational problems than
initial system bleeding. As I understand, the Cleveland
heads have poor water flow at the back of the heads
resulting in a hot spot. This boils the coolant at that
area which ups the pressure resulting in some coolant
venting. Each time this happens, you get a little more air
and a little less coolant in the system. With the head
bleed mod, which was not my original idea (thanks Dennis
Quella), you get enough flow at the back of the head to cool
the hot spot. So with no boilling coolant, no extra
pressure, and no small venting the system stays more stable.
That's my story and I'm stickin to it!
More later,
