A few open minded questions and observations please.
How much is to be gained with all the suspension
re-engineering on the street, and on tracks like Parump or
Motorsport Ranch?
How much better or worse will the stock suspension work on a
car like Keith's that is targeted at 2500# wet?
For the track time that I have experienced, which is very
little, I see big gains in reduced weight, big horsepower,
and huge brakes. From a tactical point of view, with no
passing in the corners, the real work is in the straights.
At TWS John Taphorn, who's Formula Continental would corner
way faster than anything else out there, would have had to
follow Dennis Quella's Pantera around all day because he
couldn't pull Dennis down the straights.
So my basic questions are what is to be learned, what is to
be gained and at what cost, and at what level of competition
will the value be realized.
More later,
