| Subject: | a/c compressor questions? |
| Date: | Mon, 6 Sep 1999 10:29:58 -0400 |
I am thinking of going to a rotary a/c compressor. Mine is beginning to make
a bearing noise while running. I have replaced the a/c clutch bearing, (
which was also making noise) but the sound now appears to be coming from the
compressor. My question is: can I shut off the service valves on the York
compressor, remove the hoses, and install the new rotary compressor using the
service valves from the York compressor? Will they screw into the new
compressor, or will I have to use the service valves on the rotary? I have
new hoses, and I have just recently had the a/c filled, and really don't want
to lose all that freon. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
