First of all, thanks to everyone who helped on my cooling question.
I ended up ordering the entire system from Pantera Performance, and so far
the reviews have been excellent as far as quality is concerned (from Forest
and Fred).
Now, I have another question for you wrenchmasters (and mistresses?).
In poking around on Saturday, Fred located a small leak in one of the
(stock) exhaust headers that looked as if it had been welded once before.
So now I get to rock the plastic again at the end of my (hopefully short)
quest for new headers.
To retain a somewhat stock appearance I have eliminated the esoteric (180
degrees) and it would seem that I could get either the Hall Big Bore
Headers, or the GTS system. The latter claims to be quieter and improve gas
mileage which I am definitely NOT interested in. I am more concerned with
power and noise without filling my trunk area with tubing or changing the
stock upswept look of the pre-L rear.
So what's it to be guys?
And how do Hedman headers fit into this (as seen in the Summit catalogue),
and if they fit, would they bolt up to the Pantera exhaust pipes?
And I assume I should have whatever I end up with ceramic coated.... sliver
or black or doesn't it matter?
And should they be wrapped?
Well....
who was that guy that asked why you need another 2 G's after buying a Pantera?
Thanks in advance
Geoffrey Thomas
