For the folks that might be working on Mike Drew's fan and head light relay
mod the following might help: The only place I could find #8 wire was at
NAPA auto parts along with a crimp-on connector for the AMP gage terminal (I
covered the crimped part with heat shrink tubing. I found the 30amp relays
at RadioShack #275-226 (cheap but good). RadioShack also has
quick-disconnect # 64-3135 terminals for #10 wire that are compatible with
the Pantera fuse block connectors so I'm using them to extend the fan wire
connections on the Pantera fuse block over to the new fuse block (no wire
cutting needed). The best fuse blocks I found were at Advance Auto, Buss
brand #BP/S-8202-2 (looks like fiber impregnated plastic mount). I have a
60amp VDO amp gage in my car but found it was a good idea to remove both
wires, clean the terminals and connectors and re-tighten the terminals on
the gage its self before re-installing the wires.
One side note: While fishing the #8 wire from the amp gage to the right side
of the car to my surprise I came across a very old metal box mounted up
under the dash above the glove box. It must be part of a old alarm system
or one of those 70s reverb units!!!! Or it could be the thing that makes
the 351C go rump, rump, rump. You just never know what you will find when
you start climbing around your Pantera.
