Everyone,
I am in the process of a Pantera race car project. The monocoque is stripped and I am going to put it on a laser frame machine to make sure it is straight and square and to measure all the suspension pickup points' x-y-z coordinates as precisely as possible. From there I want to design a suspension from scratch, picking wheels, brakes, uprights, etc. from readily avaialble parts bins (wheels will likely end up cusom offset). Right now we are looking at Corvette or Viper forged aluminum uprights and going from there. I will gladly share data with anyone who will do the same. The idea is to have non-vaporware with details on dimensions and exact manufaturers and part numbers for every component that goes in. We also plan to make jigs for the control arms and other fabricated parts if others want to have some built for them. We'd gladly buy or go in together with others' fabricated parts rather than re-invent the wheel, so to speak.
Who's interested and what have you got?
