Well, to make a long story short Mad Dawg
lit himself on fire with the cigarette and
while he was flailing around on stage the
fire dept. couldn't put out the fire because
Bart had hijacked the fire engine.

And what makes it even more like real life was Flanders was 
the guy just pretending to be this character named Mad Dog!
