the right kind of grease your motor will perform miracles, or at least
operate faster than it used to....
Is this what I ought to be using? TIA

Charlie,
I think you are on the right track. I have the stuff I used right in front
of me, obtained at a local Autozone. It is made by Exxon and is called LIDOK
CG MOLY Premium chassis grease. Contains molybdenum disulfide & polymers for
enhanced anti-friction properties and is also an NLGI No. 2 lithium-based
grease. I got the last info directly from the can.
It looks like dark gray sludge. I swear to you and the entire Detomaso world
that the power windows in the Pantera work at least as fast, if not faster
than in my 1991 Mazda MPV Super Sport Mini van with optional turbo speed
power windows. No lie.
The only thing I did was replace my plastic gear with the brass one, remove
all the old krusty grease originally installed in there in 1971 with this new
grease and now I have windows as fast as my car!
