The moment out good legislators decide to jack up the price of gas THAT high,
there will be mayhem in the streets. I don't know how your government can get
away with that but there seems to be a large automobile owning society that will
quash any attempt at such a gas price hike (barring OPEC or anything else like
that). Glad I live in the USA. Cal #2428r.
