This is really totally weird, in a melancholy sort of way.
I was one of the first people, along with several others, who gave thier
email address to Shane Ingate, somewhere around six months before he got
the DeTomaso email forum started. One day, I signed in to check email and
viola! There was a message saying the forum had finally been configured,
and was starting up. What a day.
In the ensuing few months afterward, People like Mike Drew, Jack DeRyke and
Mad Dog became like household names. Having absolutely NO Pantera
experience, other than the longing fantasies, but knowing quite a bit about
the 351Cleveland, I too made a name for myself on the forum. I remember
the days when Shane would compile the monthly statistics. Who posted the
most, who posted the least. How much traffic there was, etc. It was great.
And now... I've unsubscribed.
WHAT!!!
It's okay. It's progress, things change. I've already done it. Sending
the message wasn't bad, but when I got the confirmation email back... now
THAT was when it hit me. Here I was, virtually a charter member of the
DeTomaso email forum.. and I was unsubscribing. It kinda sent a shiver up
my spine.
But it's all for the good. I'm dumping my current ISP soon. For about
three years, or maybe it's four, I've had pretty good service from them.
But lately, the spams are increasing and there is no end in sight. Web
space is limited and they've cut in half the original amount the first
allocated to me when I joined. Hmph. Time for change.
I'd like to invite those of you who have held small interests in following
my exploits, to visit...
http://www.asajay.com
It's not finished, nor has it really even begun. But it's new, and it will
contain everything you've come to expect from my Pantera and Mustang pages,
and even more..... more... and more...
I'm not going into competition with anyone and don't intend on being the
end all site. However, from my perspective, I want to be able to fan out
as far as I can to embrace the rest of the wonderful Pantera ownership
represented on the web. I currently have very few links to member pages.
It's time to change that.
If you have a web site dedicated to Panteras, please send me a link. If
you have a small graphic you would like placed with your sites link, please
add that too. Realize that Pantera will only be a portion of AsaJay.com
but to me, it will be an important part, and I wish to continue the ride
people take by putting up links to YOUR sites. So send them to me.
And lastly. For everyone that has my email address in thier address book,
you need to change it. At this point, you've figured that out probably.

So there you have it.
Yes, I feel better now. : )
