Many moons ago a friend took his A arms in to a local shop to have the
bushings replaced. The shops typically remove these with an air chisel. Well
in this case they destroyed the A arm getting the bushings out and had to
buy a new one. They declined to work on the remaining arms. Let us know how
you fare on yours.

Hi Mike:
I'm not sure about the ball joint (at least the rear one), but the
bushings
should be able to come out with a press.
Several months ago, the Drewster and I were wrestling with Rick's
A-arm
assembly trying to get those bushings out using an air chisel. It
was
rather comical! We managed to (cosmetically) scratch up the A-arms
while
shearing off the washers and other rubber parts of the old bushings.
We did
managed to get them out, however. Took thirty minutes of sweaty
noisy work,
some cursing, and other stuff like that. So this time, I'm going to
have it
done by a local shop. They did say they could press out the
bushings. I just
have to bring it to them to find out! Cal. #2428r.
