Ernie, good call. We've all seen bulbs with barely broken filaments that
still work because the current jumps the gap. Would ground be less likely to
jump the gap? And how about cleaning and securing the terminals to the turn
indicator lamp on the tach.
Since we've heard of the indicator lamp on the tach working for lefts and not
for rights, I would not look to the flasher as the problem.
Additionally, the left lead on the turn indicator lamp is on the left
turning light circuit, the right on the right..... so if the left rear lights
are flashing you should be getting the same power to the indicator bulb since
they are hard wired together. This is easy to check with a voltmeter.
Hence I suspect a grounding problem.

still available I replaced the turn signal relay and it started working for
a short time and then did the same thing. Because of this experience I
always assumed it was the relay. I would like to get it to work correctly
but have no other advise. I just grounded the tail lights and that did not
fix it. Rich Hoppe >>
