I know this is going to open up a BIG can of worms. Everyone is going to
have their own opinion, but what the hell.
I'm building an EFI motor this winter. I've gotten most everything narrowed
down except for the cam. I know, the cam is the most important part and how
can someone have the rest figured out until they know the cam, but I never
claimed to be an expert.
I'm going to run a 377" stroker Cleveland, Weber style intake, GTS headers,
4V closed chamber heads (already setup to take adjustable rockers). I drive
my car on the street (as a lot of you across the country have seen). But on
the street, I do not care about performance. The car is TOO much of a cop
magnet. I have been club racing and will continue.
I was leaning toward a hydraulic roller, but after getting off the phone
with one cam manufacturer, "it is a waste of money" I don't really want to
deal with valve lash, or am I just worrying about nothing?
So who is running what cam? and any suggestions?
Paul
