Skip,
When shopping for fenders, it's important to consider the build date of the
car. See, they changed the physical size of the headlight bucket, nominally
with car #2729 but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few after that with the
early size. Well, come to think of it, the Ford parts book lists the cars
built after 2729 that used the early fenders:
2750, 2751, 2752, and 2783.
They also list the early cars that used the later fenders:
2633, 2720, 2722, 2726.
Your car is 5244, right? So make sure you buy a late-style fender. You can
call the vendors and see what they have in the way of used fenders. FWIW I
know that Larry Stock has some NOS right-hand fenders (or he did, they might
have been sold by now) but he probably wants new prices for them--they were
NOS pieces after all.
Also, see my earlier post tonight--Wally Baldyga would be a good source for
used sheetmetal...
