I have seen those zippy ties make radiators leak. On guy that came to my
place had this happen and we had to repair his radiator. When i attatch
the fans, I make a small angle bracket and screw them into the top and
bottom plates of the radiator that way there is no possible way for the fan
to rub against the core and make it leak. I use 3 or 4 screws on the top
and bottom. Just a short 1/2 inch # 6 machine screw works fine.
