I run a #6619- a vac-sec made in 1969. Good up to about 5200 in 5th. Adding a
750 vac-sec will add 30 hp and drop mileage by 4-8 mpg. Some say the ideal
carb is a 700. Double-pumps need to be set up by an expert or poor mileage,
poor throttle response and other ills will happen. A chassis dyno is helpful.
Worn-out throttle shafts & bases on used carbs will not be fixed by
rebuilding. Good luck-J DeRyke
