Racers to build 2.5-mile track for enthusiasts

KELLER -- Ishida Motorsports Inc., under a limited
partnership called Valley View Crown Partners Ltd.,
bought 205 acres of land about 25 miles north of
Denton near the Cooke County town of Valley View,
where it will develop Valley View Motorsports Park,
Ishida officials say.

The track is the second to be announced recently in
the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Texas Motor Speedway
in Fort Worth plans to begin construction after the
April Nascar races on a road course that is expected
to open next summer. The two tracks don't expect to be
in head-to-head competition, however.

Driver's side. It's not coolant as it was a dirty water colour. Might be a
drain for condensation from the inhabitant's breathing while parked...

There was another on the passenger side but it was closer to the door hinge

Sports Car Club of America, said the SCCA's board of
directors will meet in January and discuss whether to
invest financially in the track. The SCCA has assisted
College Station's Texas World Speedway in the past
with in-kind construction work such as building tire
stacks where the track was expanded, Talmadge said.

The Valley View track expects the SCCA to be its
biggest customer, with eight to 10 race weekends per
year and other racing clubs filling up remaining
weekends. Track rental rates likely will range from
$5,000 to $7,000 a day, Bond said.
