A follow up to the 285/345-15" tire issue that Mike Drew brought up a few weeks ago...

Just to let you know, I did manage to find a set of tires. I had NTB, Discount and a local tire place here in Houston try to find a set. NTB finally found all four. The 345's are here physically, but the 285's won't come in until tomorrow.

345's are out there, as some others indicated. After all, they're used on the old Countachs. Must be more of a market for them. The Tire Rack has them still in stock as of last week. But it is very apparent that the pair of 285's I found must be the last of the Mohicans... Nobody was able to find any others - at all - period. And I'm actually not 100% sure I'll get them until they're physically here, but NTB assure me they are 'on the way'.

So, I figure I got at least another year to year and a half before I have to fork out the big bucks for 17" wheels and tires... I got a set of Hoosiers on 8" and 10" wheels that I ran at TMS last October and they seem fine for the track. That should allow me to get a lot more miles out of the street Yokohamas. I sure didn't need to spend another $1000 at Christmas time though... Sigh...

Thanks for the heads up, Mike! I wouldn't have found out until late this year sometime and then it would have been too late...
