| Subject: | Fuel pump question |
| Date: | Mon, 3 Jan 2000 19:52:25 -0500 |
All,
Tried to start the Kitty after 3 months of inactivity, and I'm
not getting any fuel to the carb. Check the lines and they are
clear (and yes, I do have gas!). When I disconnect the gas line
to the carb. I can feel the pump pumping, but it feels "weak".
If I put my finger over the inlet side to the pump, should it feel
likes its going to suck my finger in, or is it just a mild suction?
My initial hypothesis is that the diaphragm has a small tear, though
I could not see anything obvious when I disassembled the pump.
Thanks in advance,
Shane Ingate in San Diego (for the holidays)
