I also found this to be the case. It still kills buddy chats, but will not
keep you online. However, i have found that if you are surfing or doing
something else it will not ask if you want to stay on line. I connect to
the chat room every night. The chat room has a continuous ping that aol
sees as activity and leaves me alone. It is the best I have found to do
and besides, you get to chat.
