John mentioned that I was the only spectator to get a ride, and part of it
backwards :-) John snuck me in (wearing my Nomex and simulating a ride-along
instructor). We had a nice cruise around the track, and when all was cool
John started showing me what a very good driver can do with a Pantera on the
track. We were breathing hard on a Porsche down a back straight and he waved
us by - John passed, carried a lot of energy into the next turn, and started
to set up for the next turn after that one - a downshift allowed the Pantera
to lose back-end traction and an instant 180 spin happened - we were then
treated to a view out the front window of the rest of the cars heading
straight for us :-) John rode it out backwards and got us clear of the
traffic...

Yippee that was one fun Pantera ride :-)

I'll ride with John any time he'll let me :-)
