Bob,

The wiring diagram you're using comes out of WHICH owner's manual?  The 
blue-colored manual is only appropriate for 1971 Panteras.  Things changed a 
good bit at some point early in 1972 (red-covered manual, and the reprints 
don't have the wiring diagram.)  Come August or so, things changed again with 
the advent of the L-model; the relay panel moved over to the driver's side 
and several other improvements were made.

There are no less than five different Pantera wiring diagrams available; I've 
got three of them myself ('71, mid-'72 and L-model.)  Only one of them is 
dated (6/15/72) and that one would PROBABLY be the best bet.

If I were you (or anybody without wiring diagrams out the wazoo), I'd get 
ahold of Asa Jay Laughton at the POCA club store pronto.  He's just cranked 
out a batch of diagrams, and they are available in a variety of flavors to 
suit your needs.
