Hey Martin,
The wheels you're referring to are original Campy magnesium wheels as used on
the GT5, GT5-S and Group 4 race cars. They measure 15x10 front and 15x13
rear (15x14 for the Group 4 cars.)
Fixing Magnesium is a very black art, as detailed in a lengthy article in the
POCA newsletter a few years ago. Jack DeRyke knows a NASA welding wizard who
repairs Campys, but he's recently suffered health problems so he's out.
More importantly, if you don't already have tires to put on the wheel, then
you're wasting your time. Sadly, all production tires to fit those wheels
have recently been discontinued, rendering them as little more than a novelty.
Within the next few years, expect the price on these wheels to plummet as
owners realize that they can't use them anymore, unless they either source
tires from overseas (if that's even possible) or run non-street-legal race
tires (which come with their own set of problems.)
My advice: Throw it in the attic unless you absolutely need to get that one
wheel fixed to get your car back on the road.
Mike
