Hi folks,
Getting ready to install the new waterpump.Of course I have some first
timer questions!Oh well here goes...
It looks like I'll now have to route both heater hose outlets through
the 2 waterpump outlet fittings. The old stock pump routed fluid through
the pump body, into the block outlet, with a plug on the lower of the 2
outlets.
This will mean the block outlet will deadend to the pump now.Is this ok?
Do I just cap the old outlet coming from the block, get two new fittings
for the new pump heater outlets, clean and install?
I planned on using hi-temp spray copper gasket sealer on the new gasket.
Anything else I might need to do?
Is this the usual scenario for going to an aftermarket alum.pump?
Also I want to move the temp.sensor from the pressure tank to the block.
I see where it needs to go on the front of the block(a plug is there
now).Is this sensor a "special" item or pretty standard(NAPA?)
FWIW,I see nothing "high performance"about the new pump over the stock
one except less weight.
Am I missing something?
Here's a few pics-

Thank you,
