Hey all, 
The last couple months I've been working on getting 
a webcam running at this years Vegas Fun Rally.  
Well, you all are the first group to hear about since 
it looks like it is going to happen.  So if you are just 
too far away to make it in person you will be able to 
see just what you are missing!  

What, where, how...
First off we have two great sponsors that are helping 
make this happen!  The Pantera Parts Connection & 
Hall Pantera!  Way to go guys and thank you!

It should be running on the web (link is not yet available, 
but it will be on the POCA site) from the Thursday 
afternoon through Saturday night of the event. You'll be 
able to view updating images via the web of the event 
along with a live audio stream.   Depending on the 
donated bandwidth I get and your Internet connection 
speed updates will be anywhere from a couple frames 
a second to once every 5-6 seconds. The audio will be 
continuous even with a dial-up account.  

What will be shown?  Well, I will have the camera 
everywhere from just sitting in the hospitality suit to 
in-car video out at the track!  The local ATV operators 
(amateur television) have a mountain top TV repeater 
and have volunteer its use for the event.  This repeater 
can rebroadcast live video/audio from all over Las Vegas 
and as far as the track. 

There will even be a chat room available so all the on-line 
viewer can converse with each other.  I'm working on getting 
it so people in the Hospitality suit can see the chat room to 
read the on-line comments, but since I'm not using a web 
connection at the Hotel I'm still working on how I will do this. 

To help me get an idea of how many viewers there may 
be email me directly off-line webmaster@panteraclub.com . 
This will help me in preparation for getting enough bandwidth 
to handle the expected traffic. 

Anybody think your chapter might be interested in having 
a Saturday night get together to coincide with the Las 
Vegas banquet?  Hey, maybe we can sell on-line raffle 
tickets!
