Attachment to first message:

My regulator was jammed because the white plastic gear in the regulator
had broken and jammed against the drive gear.

I did not have to remove the black emergency knob.

I bought a new brass gear from Hall Pantera, like the 2 gears I had put
in my
window regulators many years ago.

Anyway, pretty simple job after I got going.

I changed mine yesterday.

I removed both limit switches. Gives much more clearance. Used 27/64?
(I think) ignition wrench as I did not have metric end wrenches that
small. The little nuts on the back side are secured. The one close to
the radiator, as soon as you get them loose, then the switch can be
lifted out with the screws still in the switch. As the other post said,
they cannot be removed because of the tight clearance with the radiator.

The gear is usually jammed. There are 3 bolts that hold the black plate
to the car.

The 2 to the front of the car come out easy. My lights were jammed
down. I finally got the 3rd screw, which is behind the yellow gear,
loose and then the plate can be moved up. This allows like the other
post says, to disengage the gear from the drive sprocket. then lift up
the lights, and hold them up, then the third screw will come out.

Then with a neat twist, the assembly will come out the bottom.

Paul Roberts
