Okay -

This will sound a bit silly but, my recently purchased 72 Pantera simply has the heater hoses connected to the pipes running to the heater core, but the other ends just hanging in the engine compartment.

Now there is no remaining evidence as to where they originally connected.  Any and all hints would be appreciated.

Also, the pipe that goes INTO the radiator has a small 'nipple' on it - about 3/8 inch with a 12" long piece of tubing connected but it is simple blocked off with a bolt.  Any ideas what someone might have had connected here at some time?
