Matt,

The fix is to replace the stock 3-watt light bulbs in the tacho and speedo 
with 5-watt replacements.  It takes a bit of contorting to get the old bulbs 
out, but then you can take 'em and match 'em up at the auto parts store.  New 
ones should cost about a buck--gotta love that!
