Hi all.

First things first... Shelley and I are back (have been since Tuesday). : )

The trip...
As opposed to most folks who have posted thier travel's on this forum,
Shelley and I had absolutely NO problems with the Pantera, for the entire 3,000+
mile trip. : ) Reliability is the word for the vacation. More on that at some
other time. : )

Okay, second...
The club store did a booming business this year. I sold out of one old
t-shirt style we had hanging around for a few years, introduced a new style
t-shirt that sold very well. Sold out of the laminated wiring diagrams that we
took to vegas, as well as all the non-laminated ones. Picked up some special
back-issues of the quarterly and sold most of them almost immediately.
The Pacific coolers came in real handy for a lot of folks, and by the way, I
used one for the drive back to Spokane and it was GREAT!!! and it stayed usable
for almost two days. : ) We sold most of the teddy bears, so if you've not got
yours yet, you better hurry. The DeTomaso logo stools are going to be sold out
very shorty. I have a standing order for the remainder of our inventory, so if
you've not placed an order yet, you better do it PRONTO!
We are waiting for the inventory to reach us again, we figure UPS should
have it to us by Wednesday of next week. Once we get it, we'll update the Club
Store Web Site, hopefully with quantities.

    And for the best news....
We took a lot of feedback at the store this year, based on that, we are
going to pursue the following for next year:
    1. More attire for women. Since next year is going to be a special year
for the Fun Rally (30th anniversary for the Pantera and 20th (25th?) anniversary
of the Fun Rally, we will do some special duds for everyone, more on this later,
look for an upcoming "contest" for artwork.
    2. Seems we neglected to make a new "Decal" of the DeTomaso logo. Duh, I
think this is a no brainer. Look for these soon, like in the next couple of
months.

Thanks go to my wife Shelley for doing such a superb job helping me out over
the past year, I appreciated all the wonderful feedback we recieved from those
who visited the store.
I would also like to thank Pat and Lyell Harris, who stepped up and
volunteered to help man the store. Thier help provided everyone time to enjoy
the weekend. Also, stepping in for a short while was Cheryl Mathews (?) and
her husband (?) (I'll get that figured out later) who helped during the time
Shelley and I drove our car to the Race Rock and parked it on Fremont with all
the other Panteras : )

Okay last bit of news....
It appears I won't every be hearing from the gentleman, (shall I call him a
two faced bozo?) who I sent the last Lincoln/Mercury Demo tape to. You might
remember the story. He claimed he was going to clean up the tape and send me a
new master. Well, that never panned out, and I've been emailing him (good
address, no bounces) with no responce for the past several months. I give up.
BUT WAIT... it gets better. We happened upon ONE Final copy when we opened
the inventory in Vegas. So...

If you are a person that works in the video industry, and I KNOW you, AND you
are willing to give me a sizable deposit, (refundable on completion of the job),
POCA might be willing to let you do some video mastery/wizardry on this tape so
that we might duplicate it some more for the masses. I'm sure we might even be
able to work out a deal for some small compensation. The actual idea was
originally to have a POCA member do this out of the goodness of thier heart.
Well, that didn't pan out the first time, so we start again.
I'm now asking for volunteers. We will go through details from there.
Please hurry, because I've already promised this copy to someone, and they would
really like to have it.

Okay, that's it for now (as if it was really that short. : )

Asa Jay
