Eliminating the charcoal cannister and running the gas tank vent line
directly to the air cleaner raises the possibility of a backfire somehow
igniting the whole tank thru the line. Maybe a simple check valve or
boat-style flashback valve in the line would give enough protection. You're
doing the right thing, though- thinking about it rather than just pitching
the thing as many others have done. Maybe someone else has some insight into
