DeTomaso Mailing List: May 2000, Message #224

One reason I have always been a little envious of you California-types is that it seems as though every weekend you have a get-together where you cruise around in formation in a bevy of Panteras (A herd? a flock? a pack? a school?). I have only once been able to ride around with multiple Panteras, and it was a blast. The rest of the time i have been the Lone Wolf, patrolling the roads by myself. Finally I am going to get a chance to go play with others. 

My day of June 1st is shaping up like this: Wake up at 4:30am. Taxi picks me up at 5am and drives me to Bilbao, Spain (one hour). Take a 6:30 flight from Bilbao - Milan, Italy, Milan to Vienna where I arrive at 11am. I will be picked up by Mr. Krump at the airport, who will drive me to his house. I pick up my new GT5-S, and follow his new Pantera 2 as we head off in formation to a friend of his who owns a Maserati Indy and a Ferrari 328GT. The three of us head out and spend the afternoon tearing up the mountain roads in Austria. Maserati/GT5S/Pantera2 - the whole afternoon and noplace to be. OK, so I couldn't make Vegas, but this makes up for it a little... 

Anyone else going to be in Austria/Germany around this time? Any Swedes/Danes/Germans/others on vacation?
