Actually, PPC sells two different side mount kits. One is very pretty,
requires no drilling, but does not always align properly with all the
mounting points- it didn't on mine. The one Mike describes is sturdy and
functional, black powder coated, but requires a little simple drilling to
properly mount. Both are quite sturdy. BTW, my 72 preL #2470 had a Dash 2
with a rear mount. The PPC kit works very well in conjunction with the stock
tail mount! Jeff Garvin
>>>Don't know about impingement. However PPC (Colorado) does sell a
side-mount kit that's made of heavy-gauge steel (not just sheetmetal.) It
looks kind of flimsy, but it probably works just great, especially in
conjunction with the stock tail mount. The transaxle sidemount kit
basically
bolts to the car using the two studs for the center mounts for the rear sway
bar. >>
