To Mike & All.....

As usual lately, and in this case not my intent.... I have made some
comments  that has sparked a small bit of controversy !   I feel I should
make my self clearer....if I may.

My main point was that the "cop" , I thought in my personal opinion  had an
attitude with me as an individual.  Most people do not respond to you with
hands in the face, a stony face, and close menacing attitude when you are
polite, and smiling !   I was both smiling, and very polite, and this guy
never even smirked.   I had even said "hello" to him when I first went up to
suite area earlier in the morning, and I stood well back from the suite, and
made a conscious effort not to intrude, because I knew I was there for only
the day, and did not have privileges. And also I am certain he saw me have
several conversations with members in the area and therefore should know I
was not a party crasher, or urban terrorist !

As some of you know I have the background to take care of my self, so the
cop attitude was just a surprise, and not a threat  and should not have set
me off like that ....I guess I am getting old and soft...and my feelings are
hurt more than they once were...my problem.

As far as Sandi Snyder is concerned...she was very nice, and I appreciated
her "looking" for me, and in no way had a complaint about her. I only
mentioned her in "relation" to the cop.

As far as the "could have invited me in " comment...it is based on my
experiences with SCCA , IMSA, and District 37, and DRA desert Racing
associations experiences, where I have seen them welcome "strangers" at the
last minute to their functions, to "take a look"....but I realize my
comments are out of ignorance as to POCA, and the Vegas event...and that may
have be incorrect...my apologies !

In conclusion....No... I did not have the extra $50 to sign up for one day
of activities in my present situation, and maybe in light of that fact I
should have stayed out on the downtown area, and just looked at the cars,
and not even come into the hotel....that is something I wish I considered
with hindsight !

If I stepped on any toes, or made some uncalled for remarks....it was not
intentional , nor do I ever have any malice for POCA, it's members ( which I
am one) or any individual !

Hopping to be a productive  member of society soon ....and gotta keep my
mouth shut !!!!!  :-)
