All,
It seems by all the e-mails I'm getting about my fuse box conversion
that I need to publish, coach, and/or install a few more. A '90 or newer
Nissan box will work. They (Nissan) were good about using the same box for
all their cars, some had all the terminals hooked up some did not. Getting
the terminals out soldering the and reinstalling the terminal in the block
is where it gets difficult, but not impossible! I'm going to my local junk
jard later this week to see what I can find, last time I was there I cleaned
them out of fuse boxes, but you never know how many of them have been
trashed lately! If anyone knows or can send me the fuse box I'd be happy to
convert it. Unfortunatlly the wiring diagrams have only been a strong
suggestion as to what really is going on down there! I also made up a couple
of brackets out of nylon blocks to angle the box so it can be seen easily
and insulate it from the frame.
So if your interested in this conversion let me know if you have access
to a Nissan fuse box, a wiring diagram, your car number, and if you are
electrically inclined or not. It's not a job for rank amatures but I'll walk
you through it. I'll see what I can find as far as fuse boxes and prep as
many as I can find. I'll try to help out as many as I can. If someone wants
to a "tech session" I'd be more than happy to participate.
