Hi All:
After hearing it from Richard Barkley about using Grade 5 s/s bolts, I
looked into a machine shop that I thought might have some. They didn't but
the fellow in the shop said he use to build race chassis (probably for
those mini-outlaw cars they have in the dirt track at Santa Maria
speedway) and he said he uses grade 5 s/s bolts exclusively). His
assertion was that grade 8's (because of their harder mat'l) may be prone
to breakage than grade 5. Whatever the case, it seems to confirm Gary
Hall's use for grade 5 bolts. Therefore, I spend about 20+ for some that
will be going into my suspension. 2B cont. Cal #2428.
