74L has been in storage for 3 months. Took it out for
a drive and in 2-3 minutes there was smoke from under
the dash. Opened up console and found amp guage
to be red hot, all else appeared fine. Back of guage
showed rubber boot had melted and was chared. What
the heck happened? Perhaps the battery was low
(probably) and there was too much curret across the
guage? How do I prevent this in the future?
Advise appreciated.
