| Subject: | Any Bad Experiences with the current PPC Hydraulic Throwout? |

This sounds like a no brainer unless something's been left out. The PPC
catalog says their unit is $325. I know how much ZF parts and labor are.
So, if I need a slave cylinder, and my ZF is out, it sounds like the $325
would be very well spent?
Is it that simple?
I guess it's not clear to me why this saves ZF parts. If the stock slave and
arm is working correctly I can't see why there would be a difference. I guess
fewer moving parts saves a little friction, but does that make a measurable
difference? Are there problems with the original design that this overcomes?
Does this get around the fork rubbing against the throwout as it pushes, and
thus save those friction losses?
Does an aluminum flywheel help with shifting because the reduced angular
momentum allows the engine speed to drop quickly between shifts?
