DeTomaso Mailing List: July 2000, Message #212

Hi guys,

Well, we've got another new owner on the list; Mark Tamburello of Modesto, CA 
just purchased Jim Moore's yellow '72L.  It's a beautiful car, virtually 
perfect, almost completely original except for 10-inch Campys.  It's got high 
miles (75K or so) but looks like it might only have 25K because it's been so 
well taken care of.

Like any 75K mile car, it's also got a blown-out steering rack.  So we'll be 
doing another rack rebuild at my house this Saturday.  The goal is to start 
at 9:30 or so and continue until ???  If we get done early, maybe I'll put 
the arm on Mark and get him to help me install an oil cooler in my GT-350.

All are welcome to come along for the fun.  I'll attempt to document the 
process for the sake of posterity and put together a digital montage since 
this seems to be a fairly commonly needed procedure....
