Me - 3800 RPM 0.550" lift cam single springs head popped off stem
Also a friend wasted two 351C's with a 0.560" lift cam. Both times, the
new OEM Ford valves slipped out of the keepers. Don't remember any
of the other details. Have talked with lots of others who've experienced
similar fates.
Personally, I would never use stock valves in a Cleveland rebuild of any
sort.
If I had a Cleveland with stock valves already together, I'd be looking for
any
excuse to pull the heads.
