With 3 weeks until SilverState I was at Dick Drenske's shop today =
checking on my custom roll cage and bulkhead modification progress. =
Dick modified my bulkhead so that when servicing the front of the engine =
with his roll cage installed all I have to do is unbutton the center =
section of the bulkhead instead of pulling the cage and seats out, etc. =
The roll cage and swing out doors are now done and the entire cage is =
being painted (official Team Pantera Racing yellow)....Lessons Learned =
#2 is make sure you cut and modify the bulkhead BEFORE you decide to =
have it reupolstered! :~] Actually, Dick did a great job of modifying =
the bulkhead and where he had to peel back upolstry he re-glued it so it =
looks like it was never touched. This time instead of pinned swing out =
doors Dick fabricated these nifty spring activated bolt action =
handles....so IF the car catches fire again I won't have as MUCH =
difficulty getting my fat butt out of the car! :~]
DICK'S work is great and if your looking for someone to build you a roll =
bar or a full roll cage let him know AFTER he finishes my work. :~]
